A decade after it started, the AdaptNSW Forum 2024 was the biggest one yet, selling out with over 500 attendees and featuring more than 100 presenters across 36 sessions. Hosted from 29-30 October 2024 at The Roundhouse UNSW, on the lands of the Bedegal people, the Forum brought together world-class speakers, immersive workshops, and interactive sessions.
The 2024 Forum, themed "deep understanding, bold action", was dedicated to catalysing action, with climate change adaptation specialists coming together for two days of thought-provoking conversation and collective change-making. The Pathways, Intersections, and Evolution subthemes invited presenters and participants to explore solutions from diverse perspectives, evaluate the current state of climate change, delve into science-based future scenarios, and foster meaningful connections.
The 2024 Forum also included a collaboration with Purpose Conference to bring their unique brand of content curation, moment-making and experience design to the Forum program. Six sessions were guest programmed by Purpose Conference with a focus on topics relevant to the business and not-for-profit sectors.
Session synopses and recordings from select presentations are available below, organised into the three subthemes, Pathways, Intersections and Evolution - as well as the Purpose stream. Resources have also been shared where possible.
