We are already experiencing the effects of climate change. Temperatures are increasing, sea levels are rising, and rainfall patterns are changing.
While reducing our carbon emissions will help to limit climate change, some level of change is inevitable. We will need to adapt to the existing and future changes to our climate to protect our way of life.
The natural, social and economic systems of NSW will all be affected by climate change. By planning appropriately and acting now, communities, businesses and government can reduce the impacts of these effects.
The NSW Government is helping by providing the latest climate information and guidance on adaptation. Guidance has been developed for households, community groups, businesses, and state and local government.
Together, we can adapt to climate change impacts and continue to work towards a positive future for NSW.
